Outsider editor, Alison Gordon, zips off to Paris in April to teach at L’Oreal Big Picture Challenge, a week-long intensive workshop to challenge traditional business models in the beauty industry with disruptive innovation.

Each year, Big Picture is a powerful learning tool which brings together film students from across Europe. They’re projected into the heart of the creative process and asked to design and produce a video in a very short time on a highly multicultural challenge: students are Polish, Indian, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, Dutch, American, Lebanese, French and Brazilian.

Alison works closely with the students to help them conceptualize, storyboard and bring their ideas to life during the post-production process. At the end of the week, one of the videos is selected as the winner by a panel of leading professionals.
